MA Interim show at The Nunnery Gallery, March 2012.

For the interim show at the Nunnery Gallery I visited the gallery space to collect measurements from the corridor that links the first gallery to the far space. I found this corridor most interesting because of the architectural features and arches that lined it. At the end of the corridor were two doors and on the adjacent wall a cut through doorway into the next gallery space. I decided that it would be interesting to transcribe from measurements the two doors at the end of the corridor over and around the doorway into the far gallery space.

Nunnery Gallery, March 2012, view of doorway from corridor side. Outline, weight of pencil line important, it having a sense of being there, but not there. Possibility of suggesting a past structure such as in an aerial view where outlines of past structures can be seen. Negotiating architecture of the doorway.
