MA WORK - Kerb Island.

Kerbs are a unitary element within our urban spaces, having an important role in separating road and path, being the edging to pavements and roads, providing a device that is able to control and channel flow.

A solid concrete form that comes in different styles and sizes I have been particularly concerned with looking at the standard kerbs found detailed in the Marshalls online kerb catalogue, the half battered kerb an example that seems most common in our urban spaces.

Initially still measuring the kerbs, I have become interested in how the standard measurements of these kerbs and counting them would allow me to map out kerb areas.
