'11 islands’ looks at the space of 11 roundabout islands in Milton Keynes from pedestrian viewpoints. Considering pedestrian and non-pedestrian space, known and unknown territories, and how I might construct and imagine a sense of the terrain of these roundabout islands interior. These islands were formed from photos taken of each of the roundabouts, with the images I traced the imagery onto drafting film using dots, layering multiple pieces together to build a sense of terrain. Once complete they were sandwiched between acrylic sheets.
